Frequently asked questions
Find answers to common questions about who we support, how our provision works and how to get in touch.
What does Forward Futures Group do?
Forward Futures provides flexible, personalised support for children and young people aged 6–25 who may benefit from a different approach to engagement, learning and development.
Our Focus • Flourish • Fulfil approach helps young people build confidence, develop skills and move towards positive next steps.
Where do you operate?
We are based in Skegness and support children and young people along the Lincolnshire coast.
Depending on individual needs and agreed arrangements, support may be delivered at our Forward Futures base, within schools or colleges, in community settings or through a blended approach.
Can parents or carers make a referral?
Forward Futures does not currently operate a direct parent/carer self-referral service.
If you feel our provision may be suitable for a child or young person you support, we recommend speaking with their school, college or another professional involved in their education or support.
Are you looking for new partners?
Yes. Working in partnership is an important part of our approach.
We welcome conversations with schools, colleges, local authorities and other organisations interested in collaborative working, targeted intervention, outreach or commissioned provision.
Who does Forward Futures support?
We support children and young people aged 6–25 who may experience barriers to education, training or progression.
This includes young people with SEMH needs, SEND or additional needs, attendance difficulties, disengagement or additional personal development needs.
What types of support do you offer?
Our provision can include small-group programmes, 1:1 support, school and college outreach, community-based activities and blended delivery.
Support is personalised around individual needs, strengths and aspirations rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
How can professionals make an enquiry?
