How it works at Forward Futures
Our process begins with understanding individual circumstances, support needs and aspirations.
Forward Futures works primarily through professional referrals and commissioned arrangements with schools, colleges, local authorities and other organisations supporting children and young people.
We welcome conversations about support for an individual young person, a group or a wider cohort.

Getting support
Finding the right provision begins with a conversation.
We work with referring professionals to understand the individual circumstances, needs and aspirations of the young person or group requiring support.
Our team can discuss what provision may be appropriate and explain the next steps in our referral and assessment process.

What happens next?
📄 Referral received
Every referral is read properly by our team. We then get in touch with whoever made it, or with the young person, to arrange a first conversation over the phone.
💬 Initial consultation
We take the time to understand where the young person is now, what support would help and
from there we agree
the right next step together.
✅ Assessment & outcome
Our panel then looks at everything together to check we are the right fit and that we can offer the support the young person needs.
The referral and assessment process typically takes 1–2 weeks.
